Robin Manoogian
Owner, Make-up Artist

As owner and artist, Robin’s leadership and talent speak volumes. A passionate and engaging person, Robin is friendly, inspiring, and ultimately a master educator in cosmetic application.

After nearly 30 years working in the profession, Robin is still in love with what she does. She began her illustrious career working on Detroit’s Kelly and Company television show and has been the in-house make-up artist for WXYZ TV Channel 7 on-air news talent since March 1985. In addition to working in the entertainment industry doing make-up for celebrities, Robin maintains her Royal Oak spa location to provide star treatment for everyone


Marla Herschelman
Make-up Artist

Marla has been a make-up artist at About Face Beauty Spa since 1993. A spirited talent, her work has appeared on camera, in national magazines, video productions, major ad campaigns and fashion spreads. Some of the notable places her work has appeared include: Harpers Bazaar, More Magazine, Detroit Wedding, Hour Magazine and Ambassador Magazine.

Marla specializes in corrective make-up and make-up enhancement. What she most enjoys about her days at the spa is sharing her expertise with her clients. Marla’s signature style is the “natural look” and is the go-to-gal for brides and wedding parties.


Amelia Anderson
Make-up Artist

Amelia began her training in 2003 as a teenager at About Face Beauty Spa. Specializing in eyebrow tweezing and make-up services, Amelia has developed a loyal clientele due to her laid-back nature and her sense of style. Amelia has been known to bring her talents on-location for special events, photo shoots, television, weddings and proms. She has also worked for notable mayoral and gubernatorial debates, as well as photo shoots for the Detroit Red Wings.

Geen Hanna

This is one talented girl. Geen is licensed through the state and is also certified. She offers quite a diverse skill set to the spa and more importantly to her clients. She is not only gifted in the art of threading, but also offers tweezing and eyebrow waxing. She does full body wax hair removal and eyebrow tinting as well. She is certified by PHI microblading academy and the Detroit Brow CO to offer the best eyebrow semi-permanent makeup tattoo. Geen does beautiful makeup applications as well as corrective television makeup, and has worked with local celebrities, TV stations, models, brides, prom clients and everyone in between. Having been in the industry for over 10 years, she makes sure every client leaves happy. She truly cares for her clients and strives to make sure people feel great after leaving her chair.


Shelly Kopchia
Massage Therapist

Shelly is a licensed professional massage therapist and has been practicing for 16 years. Her style varies from relaxation to deep tissue considering structural integration and soft tissue release. She offers optional treatments with infrared biomat, synergy stones and cold laser. 

Shelly developed a passion for Iridology in 1999 and is certified in levels 1 & 2 and is a member of the IIPA.  Shelly is supportive of wholesome nutrition and macrobiotics. She is a strong believer in many eastern modalities including meridian therapy. Her primary goal is her clients recovery. Shelly does not hesitate to refer her clients, when necessary, to other professionals for specialized care. She has additional certifications in level 1&2 nutritional response testing and has received her master attunement in Reiki (1999). Shelly also uses music as an instrument to move and clear energy through the application of sound wave frequency and color therapy healing.

Shelly's goal is to empower, support and facilitate change that guides her clients journey toward healing. She is gifted in her ability to take a step back and look at the whole person, not just symptoms at hand. She believes that the human body is a complex network of mind, body and spirit and that pain may be manifested from an imbalance of the whole. 

Shelly enjoys physical fitness and being outside playing with her two dogs Coney and Halo.
